As she reached the end of the twisted walking bridge the soft waterfalls she heard from the distance have become a powerful roar of thousands of gallons of water falling into the abyss. The mist hits her face as she raises her lens to see the full 55mm view of the Devils Throat in all its greatness; the shutter is released.
Back on Canadian soil, this image has brought back floods of memories, feelings and joy every time she sees it and this is why she took the blind leap into the world of professional photography.
Photography has been a part of Becca’s life since she was a young child; her family has documented much of her life growing up through candid snap shots with the ever-handy Polaroid camera and processed film. She received her first camera at the age of 10 and enjoyed capturing many moments with her friends and family as an avid hobby.
Becca’s love for photography was intensified when she realized her love of travel and culture. Traveling to such countries as Australia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Bolivia opened her eyes to the possibilities of creating a career for herself by showing the world how the rest of the world lives.
Special moments in life are very important to her and she loves to capture the memories that life creates for us. An everyday walk in the park becomes a symbol for a couple taking a journey into life together, a newborn’s gaze brings you back to the sights and smells of their first days, or even the stage lights capturing the gaze into the crowd will make you feel alive again all in one well captured photograph. She shows people the moments that have passed but they now can hold on to forever.
Becca is based out of Saint John, New Brunswick. She has a Diploma in Digital Photography and is constantly upgrading her skills and knowledge to meet your needs.
